Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Graduate Engineering Trainee to join our team in Coimbatore on a full-time basis. As a fresher in this role, you will gain hands-on experience under the guidance of experienced professionals in structural steel detailing and building information management. The ideal candidate should possess a BE in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
Qualifications and Skills
Proficiency in Tekla Structures for creating detailed 3D models and shop drawings.
Strong understanding of AISC standards (Mandatory skill) required for ensuring quality in steel detailing projects.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BE CIVIL) (Mandatory skill) to apply theoretical knowledge practically.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE MECHANICAL) is essential for understanding interdisciplinary aspects.
Familiarity with SDS and BIM tools for efficient building information management.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with other engineers and clients.
Attention to detail is critical in ensuring accurate and precise detailing work.
Strong analytical skills to interpret complex engineering drawings and data.
Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in preparing detailed structural steel drawings and models using advanced software tools.
Coordinate with senior engineers to ensure project specifications and quality standards are met.
Participate in project planning and execution by reviewing design concepts and technical diagrams.
Engage in pre-project cost estimation and material take-off for accurate project assessments.
Support the engineering team in analyzing and implementing AISC standards in assignments.
Contribute to generating reports and documentation required for project approvals and client delivery.
Utilize SDS and BIM tools to manage and present building information in standardized formats.
Attend training sessions and workshops to further your knowledge in structural detailing and engineering practices.
