Position: Software Engineering Intern - Robotics

Qualification:
MS/M.Tech/BS/B.Tech in CS, ECE,Mechatronics, Robotics,Control systems
Core Skills :
Proficiency in Python , C++ and ROS2
Familiarity with PyTorch for perception and learning tasks
Good understanding of Computer vision and image processing for robotic perception
Good understanding of Reinforcement learning for robotic control and decision-making
Good understanding of Deep learning techniques for perception tasks (object detection, segmentation, tracking)
Handon experience in Path Planning- Navigation algorithms (A*, RRT, Dijkstra, etc.),Sensor Fusion & Perception
Good understanding of Linear Algebra ,Differential Equations fundamentals
Familiarity with Kalman filters, particle filters, and SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping)
Practical Experience
Hands-on experience with robot projects (academic or personal)
Proficiency with simulation environments (Gazebo, V-REP/CoppeliaSim)
Embedded systems programming experience
Responsibilities
Interns will write and test code for robot control systems using Python, C++, and ROS, implementing algorithms for navigation, perception, reinforce/imitation learning and manipulation tasks while debugging existing code and contributing to software tools used by the team.
They will work extensively with various sensors including cameras, LiDAR, IMUs, and force sensors, involving tasks such as collecting and processing sensor data, calibrating hardware components, and integrating sensor inputs for robust perception systems.
A significant portion of the role includes developing simulators and designing comprehensive test and verification systems to validate robot behavior in both simulated and real-world environments.
Interns will research existing solutions to robotics problems, review academic papers to stay current with state-of-the-art techniques, and maintain thorough documentation of their code, experiments, and findings.
Working closely with mentors and team members is central to the internship experience, fostering collaborative problem-solving and knowledge sharing while conducting rigorous testing and troubleshooting of robotic products to ensure reliability and performance standards are met.
