Market Research & Analyst (Junior/Fresher)
This role who can contribute by conducting
comprehensive market research, data gathering, and vendor/resource mapping
. The analyst will play a critical role in providing actionable insights by researching annotators, data labelers, domain experts, specialists, and vendors across different geographies, along with their hourly/daily costs and business models.
The role requires curiosity, analytical thinking, and the ability to work with diverse sources of information to support decision-making for business operations and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct secondary and primary market research to identify and evaluate resources such as:
Data annotators and labelers
Domain experts and specialists (across industries and geographies)
Service providers and vendors supporting data-related projects.
Gather, analyze, and present data related to costs, hourly/daily rates, availability, and business terms across regions.
Build and maintain a structured database of vendors, freelancers, and subject matter experts.
Track industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging geographies for talent pools.
Support the team in creating cost benchmarking reports, vendor comparison reports, and market insights presentations.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure research aligns with business needs.
Develop simple dashboards or reports (Excel, PowerPoint, or BI tools) for
data visualization and reporting
.
Assist in vendor outreach, preliminary communication, and coordination when required.
Stay updated on
industry trends in AI, data services, labeling, and workforce markets
.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Market Research, or related fields (fresh graduates or up to 2 years of experience).
Strong
analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
.
Proficiency in
MS Excel, PowerPoint, and basic data analysis tools
.
Good understanding of
market research methodologies
(secondary research, data gathering, surveys, benchmarking).
Ability to work with large sets of information and present findings in a
structured and concise
manner.
Strong
written and verbal communication skills
.
Curiosity, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn new markets, industries, and research tools.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
Exposure to
Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio
for visual reporting.
Knowledge of
vendor sourcing, procurement research, or benchmarking studies
.
Familiarity with
AI/data services ecosystem
(annotation, labelling, training data, crowdsourcing).
Internship or academic project experience in
market research or business analysis
.
