Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Faculty member for our Graphic Design program. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between academic theory and industry practice, bringing a wealth of professional design experience into the classroom. You will be responsible for delivering high\-quality instruction, updating the curriculum to meet current industry standards, and mentoring the next generation of visual communicators and designers.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching \& Instruction

**Deliver engaging lectures, hands\-on workshops, and practical demonstrations across various graphic design modules.**

**Teach fundamental and advanced concepts, including typography, color theory, layout design, branding, and digital illustration.**

**Instruct students in the advanced use of industry\-standard software.**

**Maintain a dynamic, inclusive, and highly interactive classroom environment.**

Curriculum Development

**Design, evaluate, and continuously update the graphic design syllabus to ensure it aligns with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies (e.g., AI in design, motion graphics, UI/UX basics).**

**Develop comprehensive lesson plans, project briefs, and assessment rubrics.**

**Incorporate real\-world case studies and live industry projects into the coursework.**

Student Mentorship \& Evaluation

**Provide constructive, actionable feedback on student projects and portfolios.**

**Mentoring students in developing professional\-grade portfolios tailored to their career goals.**

**Conduct regular assessments, grade assignments, and track student progress.**

**Offer career guidance and help students prepare for internships and job placements.**

Departmental \& Administrative Duties

**Collaborate with other faculty members and department heads to improve overall program quality.**

**Organize and participate in design seminars, guest lectures, design hackathons, and annual student exhibitions.**

**Assist in the admissions process, including conducting interviews or reviewing portfolio submissions for incoming students.**

Qualifications \& Requirements

Education \& Experience

Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or a closely related field.

Industry Experience : Minimum of \[5–7] years of professional experience working as a Graphic Designer, Art Director, or similar role.

Teaching Experience : Minimum of \[3–5] years of experience teaching design at a collegiate, vocational, or professional training level.

Technical Skills

**Expert\-level proficiency in the** Adobe Creative Cloud suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

**Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD).**

**Knowledge of motion graphics or video editing (After Effects, Premiere Pro) is a strong advantage.**

**A strong, diverse professional portfolio demonstrating an exceptional understanding of design principles and commercial application.**

Soft Skills

**Excellent verbal and written communication skills.**

**Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate students.**

**Patience, empathy, and an adaptable teaching style to accommodate different learning paces.**
